Classic northern German fish sandwich

| 1/2 | can of Appel herring fillets in honey-mustard sauce |
| finely sliced white onions | |
| 1 | leaf of lettuce |
| 1 | fresh dill (loosely plucked) |
| black pepper |
Cut the crispy roll in half and lightly toast it, if desired, to make the outside even crispier.
Wash a leaf of lettuce, pat it dry, and place it in the roll as a fresh base.
Carefully remove the herring fillets from the can and let them drain slightly.
Arrange the fillets on top of the lettuce and top with finely chopped white onions.
Finally, garnish with fresh dill and season with black pepper, then enjoy immediately.
