


Herring noodles
| 1 Can | Appel tender fillets of herring in tomato sauce |
| 500 g | Noodles |
| 1 pc. | Onion |
| 1 pc. | Garlic |
| 500 ml | strained tomatoes |
| as required | Tomato paste |
| as required | Basil |
| as required | Pepper, salt |
| as required | Parmesan cheese |
Cook the pasta in salted water according to the instructions on the packet (approx. 10-12 minutes) until al dente.
Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic. Fry in a pan with a little oil or butter over a medium heat.
Add the tomato paste and strained tomatoes to taste. Stir well and bring to the boil.
Carefully add the canned herring fillets in tomato sauce to the tomato sauce. Season the sauce with salt, pepper and a pinch of sugar if necessary. Add basil to taste (fresh or dried).
Bring to the boil briefly and then simmer over a low heat for 2-3 minutes so that the flavors combine well.
Drain the cooked pasta, mix with the finished sauce and divide between plates. Garnish with grated Parmesan and fresh basil.
