


Electronics technicians specializing in automation technology set up highly complex, computer-controlled industrial systems. You ensure that the individual components form an automatically operating overall system. To do this, you will program and test the systems, put them into operation and maintain them.
Ideally, you will have the following qualifications:
- Good secondary school leaving certificate
- Good understanding of numbers
- Interest in practical and concrete activities, e.g. installing and wiring switchgear to control and monitor automated systems
- Technical skills and abilities
- Basic knowledge of scientific subjects, especially math/physics
- Ability to work in a team
- Flexibility
- Willingness to work
The apprenticeship usually lasts three and a half years and takes place in the training company, training workshops and at the vocational school in Buxtehude.
